About

Our Story

Why God called Daniel and Davita Owens to start Community Worship.

Community Worship began with a simple conviction: worship is not confined to a sanctuary and service is not separate from the sacred. God placed on Daniel and Davita Owens's hearts a vision for a ministry where every meal handed to a neighbor and every song lifted in praise is treated as holy work.

"We started Community Worship because we believe God is calling us to more than a Sunday routine. We are passionate about helping people who are hurting, and we believe worship in music is one of the most powerful tools God has given us. Our hearts are for a ministry where everything we do, from handing someone a meal to lifting our voices in song, is recognized as holy. We are living in a time that calls for urgency. Jesus is coming back. Let us spend every day ready."

The vision of Community Worship is to turn service into generosity, connecting churches, businesses, and the community through the love of Christ. Whether we are leading worship, feeding families, praying with the hurting, or partnering with local organizations, our goal is the same: to make Jesus known.

We do not separate the sacred from the everyday.

Our Mission

Community Worship exists to share the love of Jesus Christ by serving both the spiritual and practical needs of our community. Through worship, discipleship, outreach, prayer, and acts of compassion, we seek to inspire hope, strengthen faith, and create opportunities for people to experience God's love in tangible ways.

Our Vision

To see churches, businesses, and neighbors joined together in Christ, turning everyday acts of service into worship, and creating a community where the hope of Jesus is visible in tangible ways.

What We Believe

Statement of Faith

This statement reflects the core theological convictions of Community Worship Ministry. We hold these beliefs not as walls to exclude, but as foundations to stand on, truths that have sustained the Church across generations and guide us in worship, service, and life.

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule for faith and practice, sufficient to teach, correct, and guide the believer in every area of life.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105

2. The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, coequal in power and glory, sharing the same essence yet distinct in Person.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

3. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of the virgin Mary, sinless in life, crucified for our sins, bodily resurrected, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, indwells all who trust in Christ, and empowers the Church for worship, witness, and service. His gifts are given for the building up of the body and the glory of Christ.

John 16:8-13; Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

5. Humanity and the Fall

We believe humanity was created in the image of God, male and female, for relationship with Him. Through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the world, separating all people from God and leaving them in need of a Savior.

Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12

6. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the free gift of God, not earned by works, and is available to all who repent of sin and place their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16

7. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have been redeemed by His blood. The local church gathers for worship, teaching, communion, prayer, and mutual encouragement, and is sent into the world to make disciples of all nations.

Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16

8. The Ordinances

We believe in two ordinances given by Christ to His Church: baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith, and the Lord's Supper as a remembrance of His body and blood given for us.

Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26

9. The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, bodily, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. He will come again to gather His people, judge the world in righteousness, and establish His eternal kingdom. This hope shapes how we live today.

Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 22:12

10. The Life Everlasting

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: the righteous to eternal life with God, and the unrighteous to eternal separation from Him. In Christ, believers have the sure hope of everlasting life in the presence of God.

John 5:28-29; Revelation 21:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:8

These beliefs are not a ceiling, they are a floor. We hold them with conviction and with humility, knowing that the Spirit of God is always leading His people deeper into truth. Community Worship is a community of seekers who are also settlers: settled in the finished work of Christ, and always seeking to know Him more fully.
